Same Shirt, Different Lives
On matchday we stand side by side. Off the pitch, our lives rarely meet. Same Shirt, Different Lives changes that.
Same Shirt, Different Lives is a new Roots initiative using football as a starting point for connection.
In this first pilot, men who share the same club allegiance, but perhaps come from different backgrounds and life experiences, are brought together to explore what that shirt means to them and how their stories shape the way they see the world.
See Same Shirt, Different Lives in action
ITV joined one of our sessions with Bradford City supporters to find out how a shared love of football can open up conversations about life, community and the experiences that shape us.
